Crazy Eights is best utilized during the initial stages of creativity. It's recommended to keep the group size small, limited to six to eight people. Whether you're seeking to redesign a website, improve UX on a page, or even rebrand your company logo, this exercise can effectively jumpstart the process.
How to use the Crazy Eights Template
Flexing your muscles of creativity has never been easier with Crazy Eights. It is essential for the early stages of development as it is known for its fast-paced, time-boxed energy.
- Head to your Crazy Eights Template. Since you are working with distributed teams, we have generated a digital space that has 8 clean boxes in order to make it as simple as possible.
- Use the FigJam template in order to tell your team they have 8 minutes to sketch, ideate, and draw using any tool, such as the pen tool provided by FigJam. This is about input, not perfection.
- Make sure someone is keeping time. The timekeeper should strive to often update the team so that they can keep track and avoid wasting any time.
- Repeat this as many times as you’d like.
- Ask your team members to present their top three ideas to the group. They should be able to choose their three favorites. You should allow them 6 more minutes to further sketch out these ideas.
- Now is the time to vote. Using the voting tool provided by FigJam, you can create a border around each board to dot vote.
